Striving for Continuous Improvement

If you have worked with Sage Environmental Consulting, you've come to expect first-class consulting expertise and unparalleled support on all of your environmental compliance projects. As a full-service safety consultancy, we apply that same level of excellence when assisting our clients on safety-related services and projects.

Our commitment to safety starts at home. Sage's safety group presides over all the companies in our family with the safety standards that go beyond current regulations. To solidify our commitment, the effort is branded in a safety logo that clearly shows the ongoing work we do to improve our practices. To the left is that logo, depicting four (4) interconnected circles, Sage's ongoing focus regarding safety that we call the life cycle of our safety program.

Here to Serve You: Our Team

Janice DeVelasco, a P.E. in Sage's PSM group, has more than 30 years of diverse professional experience in industry, encompassing refining, petrochemicals, base oils and lubricant manufacturing, terminal operations, and pipeline operations. Her extensive experience in HSE regulatory compliance and management systems includes development and implementation of PSM and RMP management systems, auditing, procedure development and program implementation, and management of HSE due diligence for large divestitures.

All of our PSM team members have extensive regulatory knowledge and compliance experience. And, because of their vast field experience, they know what a successful program looks like. As a result, they are well-equipped to develop and implement successful and compliant PSM programs.

Sage's HSE Director, Luke Albrecht, and his team members keep safety at the core of our business at Sage, both internally and externally. Luke is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and is experienced in developing and managing all aspects of HSE programs in both the petrochemical and construction services industries. He has more than 15 years of experience in the areas of safety, fire prevention, and emergency response.

Luke and his team specialize in safety program management, safety program audits, root cause analysis, emergency response planning, and training.

Process Safety Management

An effective Process Safety Management (PSM) program goes beyond compliance and the basic framework of PSM elements. A well-planned, developed, and implemented PSM program becomes intrinsic to facility operations and yields an exceptional process safety culture, as well as equipment integrity and process reliability.

Incorporating process safety into our client work is about more than just compliance with regulatory requirements. Focusing on process safety benefits everyone-with enhanced efficiency and quality; smooth start-ups and shutdowns; and a reduction of potential environmental, safety, and health problems. Sage has demonstrated the ability to identify process safety improvement opportunities and to enhance process safety programs and management systems to reduce risk.

Sage is ready to assist you with the OSHA Process Safety Management of Highly Hazardous Chemicals (PSM) Standard (29 CFR 1910.119) and EPA 40 CFR 68 Chemical Accident Prevention Provision/Risk Management Plan (RMP).
